The property is a charming terraced cottage, situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Lympstone, and was built in the late 17th Century. It was one of the few cottages to survive the great Lympstone fire of 1833. The kitchen and lounge diner are pleasantly furnished in pine, cane and floral prints and the bedroom accomodation is on two floors. A footpath outside the front door takes you some 50 yards to the picturesque harbour and Exe estuary. Twenty yards in the other direction offers you a choice of two village pubs, both offering good "Pub Grub".
Lympstone itself is a pretty village, with narrow, meandering streets and its abundance of garden flowers, window boxes and hanging baskets have won it the village "Britain in Bloom" competition in the last few years.
The golden, sandy beaches of Exmouth are only 2 miles away or you can travel further around the coast to the popular resorts of Bugleigh salterton and Sidmouth. Bicton Park, the woods and moorland and the beautiful city of Exeter, with its cathedral, theatres, museums and shops are all within easy reach
